Zinc and copper levels in hydatid cyst fluid and patient's blood.

چکیده
Eighteen patients with hydatid disease from Basrah General Hospital were involved in the study during 2007. Their ages ranged from 23-56 years with mean of 33.55 +/- 10.4 years. The control group consisted of 25 apparantly healthy individuals. Zinc and copper levels in the sera and hydatid fluids were estimated by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Mean values of zinc and copper concentrations in sera of patients were 124.33 +/- 30.04 mg/dl and 88.05 +/- 15.91 mg/dl respectively in comparing with those of the control group (P < 0.0001). On the other hand, mean values of both zinc and copper levels in sera of patients were lower than those of the hydatid cyst fluids which were statistically significant. There was a positive correlation between sera zinc and copper concentrations of patients and the control group while negative correlations were observed with other relationships.

Zinc toxicity associated with hydatid cyst infection among patients in Nasseriyah city \ Thiqar province , south Iraq
Hydatidosis is endemic disaese in south of Iraq , zinc level are detected in sera of patient and hydatid cyst fluid by atomic absorption technique in colleges of Basrah university , the present study found that the zinc levels were increase in sera of patient when compare with control whom are not infected with disaese . so the levels of zinc are also increase or high in hydatid cyst fluid .
متن کاملAnalysis of the chemical components of hydatid fluid from Echinococcus granulosus.
INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to explore the environment of Echinococcus granulosus (E. granulosus) protoscolices and their relationship with their host. METHODS Proteins from the hydatid-cyst fluid (HCF) from E. granulosus were identified by proteomics. An inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES) was used to determine the elements, an automatic biochemical a...

The aim of the present study was to assess the immunogenicity of under 30kDa molecular weight proteins of hydatid cyst fluid and protoscoleces in dogs experimentaly Infected with Echinococcus granulosus. Isolation of under 30 kDa proteins performed using Millipore filter. Six dogs were used in three groups: 2 dogs with under 30 kDa proteins of hydatid cyst fluid (Group I); 2 dogs with proteins ...
